A cat flap I fitted, this time in a brown PVC door

"Tony fitted a cat flap into a upvc door for us and did a fantastic job, even putting up with my 7 year old bombarding him with questions for an hour and a half!  He even stayed on to do an extra job, which hadn't been quoted for.  We found him to be a very professional yet kind and honest person and will use him for any other work we need doing in the future.  We would definitely recommend him to others.

Here is an amazing splash back in mosaics I did in a kitchen just behind the sink. It works really well and shows you don't have to have tiles all over the kitchen wall or that you can have those expensive tiles but just a few in the areas that need them.

Here is a bathroom ceiling I recently plastered and painted. It had an artex stippled pattern and the customer wanted to end up with a smooth finish as they kept getting black mould on the ceiling. They said if it did come back the smooth surface would be easier to wipe clean.

Here is a porch I recently tiled in porcelain 330 x 330 tiles and grey grout. The tiles were really tactile and great for a porch as they had a rough sand like feel. They would be fantastic for a wet room, around a pool or any where you need grip.

Royston Tiling, A Kitchen with Tumbled Travertine.

A recent job I completed. The customer had had bi-folding doors fitted and needed the travertine tiles cutting out and piecing back in. I also fitted the skirting boards. The customer said they looked like they had always been there and she was amazed at how I mixed up the grout colours to get a a perfect match. The existing tiles had been down 10 yrs

This was a great job and a real challenge as the depth of the tiles the customer had bought were twice as deep and the main tiles. As they really wanted and had their heart set on them I had to creatively develop the right solution.  The mirror also made the bathroom feel twice as big and is set into the wall as like a large tile.

"Tony did a brilliant job of tiling our bathroom. It wasn't a simple job as the walls are rather wonky and our border tiles are twice the depth of the wall tiles (oops!), but he embraced the challenge and came up with solutions to the problems. Tony is a really friendly, likeably guy, enthusiastic, hardworking and a complete perfectionist. I'm really pleased with the result and would definitely recommend Smooth Design to anyone."

A bedroom I plastered recently in an old house required some stripping back as the old plaster was loose.

A bathroom in Cambridge needed partial retiling following removal of an internal shower unit. I had to do some thinking outside the box as sourcing the replacement tiles was not possible. So we matched in the colour of the blue and created a feature of the space within the shower. This made a nice link with the dark blue curtains and other soft furnishings in the room "

Ms K, the house owner said: "I'm really pleased with the outcome - the feature works well, and Tony put a lot of energy into finding the right solution and doing a good job."

Fantastic kitchen floor I tiled in Bassingbourne

What a great space with a fantastic atrium the room was full of light. A great space to work in

I was asked to follow the contours of the outside of the room with a black porcelain border then a mosaic border then infill the middle with a diagonal square ceramic tile. looks stunning with the kitchen.
