This is a decorative fireplace hearth I tiled using some amazing handmade tiles from Firedearth. The hearth was also not square and was 1/2" or 12mm deeper on the left hand side so I had to compensate for that when installing the tiles to make them look equal both sides. The grout was a great complementary colour that went with the tiles perfectly and really set the room off.

"Tony tiled a bedroom fireplace for us recently. Although it was a small area, it wasn't an easy job as the tiles we'd chosen were soft and needed careful cutting around some awkward angles. Nevertheless Tony was unfazed & proved he was up to the challenge. He was extremely prompt in responding to my initial email enquiry and was equally punctual on the day.  While work was in progress he checked in regularly with me to make sure I was happy with what he was doing. He was extremely tidy & even polished up the tiles for us once he'd completed the job! Tony takes obvious pride in his work the quality of the end result is testament to his meticulous approach and attention to detail."

This is an antique heavy and solid oak corner cupboard I fitted into an office. Its was a great challenge as the walls were note perfectly square and te cupboard was old and not plumb. With a bit of giggery pokery I got it looking fantastic.

"I am very happy to have found a good local handyman who doesn't charge a fortune. Tony hung an antique corner cupboard for me and I was impressed by his methodical approach to the task and the care that he took to ensure that the cupboard was level. He is an enthusiastic worker and is completely professional in everything he does, from cleaning up after himself to responding to e-mailed enquiries. I'd definitely use his services again."

Here is a kitchen in Bassinbourn using Metro style cream tiles and white grout and trim. Very effective and chic

"After doing a great job tiling our bathroom, we had Smooth Design back to re-board and plaster our kitchen ceiling and then to tile the kitchen splash back. Tony is always well presented and punctual, as well as being conscientious of your needs, offering advice and another perspective. He is also friendly and trustworthy meaning we were more than happy to give him the keys to the house while we were at work knowing that everything will be completed to a high standard on our return. Minimal hassle and minimal fuss! Thanks Tony!"

This was also a bathroom I tiled on three walls on the same style house in Royston. The two tone tiles and border really worked and made the bathroom feel more spacious.

This a bathroom I tiled on 3 of the bathroom walls with marble and marble mosaics. The customer had some left over mosaics and with them being very expensive, I incorporated them into the window wall as well. The brushed steel trim set these tiles off very nicely. They also complement the black granite window ceil already installed.

"We were very pleased with the Tiling work Tony carried out in our bathroom! He was very professional and gave 100 % in his work. He showed real enthusiasm and took a great deal of pride in his work. He quoted a fair price for the tiling and gave lot's of useful hint's. We found that having Smooth design tile our bathroom a very positive experience and would be happy to have Tony come back to do some work for us a very professional service!"

This is a bathroom I tiled on the walls using large format tiles and a glass mosaic border. The border gave the bathroom real elegance and had some real depth in them almost 3D.

"Tony has done various jobs for me including Handyman and Tiling. He is extremely helpful, excellent at his job and always punctual. Tony has great insight. He is very proud of his work and comes up with many ideas. He always goes the extra mile and has helped me at very short notice in the past. I love the bathroom he has just tiled. It’s the kitchen next, and he is the only man for the job!!"

Here is a bathroom in Royston I tiled walls and floor before Xmas using porcelain large format tiles. The customer wanted the tiles so that they lined up across the walls down the bath across the floor then up the other wall in a continuing flowing pattern. The opposite two walls were also lined up also across the floor. I was also asked to make a framework cover for the shower pipes on the wall, the side of the bath, all the pipe works around the sink and WC. I was also asked to come up with a storage solution, so I devised and built an alcove shelf. utilising some space in the soil stack wall cavity. The alcove shelf incorporates the chrome trim around the window and had two fixed glass shelves.

"Tony tiled and transformed our bathroom from bog-standard to hotel-standard. He is very easy to work with, precise and determined to do the best job possible. We’ll definitely get him back for other home improvements now that we’ve seen his work, know his capabilities and trust him to do a good and thorough job"
