This is a decorative fireplace hearth I tiled using some amazing handmade tiles from Firedearth. The hearth was also not square and was 1/2" or 12mm deeper on the left hand side so I had to compensate for that when installing the tiles to make them look equal both sides. The grout was a great complementary colour that went with the tiles perfectly and really set the room off.

"Tony tiled a bedroom fireplace for us recently. Although it was a small area, it wasn't an easy job as the tiles we'd chosen were soft and needed careful cutting around some awkward angles. Nevertheless Tony was unfazed & proved he was up to the challenge. He was extremely prompt in responding to my initial email enquiry and was equally punctual on the day.  While work was in progress he checked in regularly with me to make sure I was happy with what he was doing. He was extremely tidy & even polished up the tiles for us once he'd completed the job! Tony takes obvious pride in his work the quality of the end result is testament to his meticulous approach and attention to detail."

This is an antique heavy and solid oak corner cupboard I fitted into an office. Its was a great challenge as the walls were note perfectly square and te cupboard was old and not plumb. With a bit of giggery pokery I got it looking fantastic.

"I am very happy to have found a good local handyman who doesn't charge a fortune. Tony hung an antique corner cupboard for me and I was impressed by his methodical approach to the task and the care that he took to ensure that the cupboard was level. He is an enthusiastic worker and is completely professional in everything he does, from cleaning up after himself to responding to e-mailed enquiries. I'd definitely use his services again."

Here is a kitchen in Bassinbourn using Metro style cream tiles and white grout and trim. Very effective and chic

"After doing a great job tiling our bathroom, we had Smooth Design back to re-board and plaster our kitchen ceiling and then to tile the kitchen splash back. Tony is always well presented and punctual, as well as being conscientious of your needs, offering advice and another perspective. He is also friendly and trustworthy meaning we were more than happy to give him the keys to the house while we were at work knowing that everything will be completed to a high standard on our return. Minimal hassle and minimal fuss! Thanks Tony!"

Here is a kitchen I recently tiled, the small square tiles really worked well with the pear wood cupboards, stainless steel appliances and black worktops.

“Thank you for returning to tile my kitchen. Tony it was another fantastic job and I would certainly ask you to return for other works.”
